Nexans Maroc, a subsidiary of the French group, inaugurated its first electrical cables and transformers factory in Abidjan on 9 November.
Nexans Morocco, subsidiary of the French group Nexans, inaugurated on November 9, in Costa do Marfim, a manufacturing plant for electrical cables for domestic and industrial use, electrical transformers and prefabricated substations.
The plant, built in an area of 32,000 m2, is located in the new industrial area of Abidjan. It is the result of a partnership Nexans Morocco, Nexans France and the group flight, distributor of the Nexans brand in the West African subregion 30 years ago.
The completion of the plant required an investment of 15 million euros for the first phase. A second phase is planned in two or three years to expand the supply of products.
The facilities will be managed by trained technicians within Nexans Morocco.
