Diass (Mbour), November 6 (APS) – The company responsible for the management of Diass Blaise International Airport (AIBD), Limak-AIBD-Summa (LAS) delivered 30 tons of cement to the rehabilitation of the wall of the Demba school fence Diouma Faye, learned APS.
This gesture is part of LAS's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, manager of Dakar Blaise Diagne Airport and responds to a request from the school's administrative committee.
The aid in kind amounting to thirty (30) tons of cement was then handed over to the school board in the presence of the Diass municipal authorities.
The first deputy mayor praised "a gesture for a locality that has 24 elementary schools and pre-schools, seven CEMs and two secondary schools and has partners in the area to meet the needs."
The principal of the school thanked the general administration of the LAS for this support that contributes to the achievement of a quality education.
"It is timely support in a sector vital to the country's development," said Moukhamed Cissokho. In addition, he expressed other needs, such as installing the Internet connection and the computer equipment of this school, which has 630 students.
On behalf of the Director General of the LAS, Ibrahima Wane referred to this gesture as an obligation of the manager, which will be extended to all municipalities adjacent to the airport as much as possible.
Opened on December 7, 2017, Blaise Diagne International Airport which is about to commemorate in a month its first anniversary is built on the commune lands of Keur Mousseu and Diass.
