April 4: 2010 military and civil parades deployed in Fatick (official)


Fatick, April 1 (APS) – A total of 2010 military, paramilitary and civil parades have been mobilized in Fatick for the parade marking the 59th anniversary of Senegal's rise to international sovereignty, Governor Gorgui Mbaye said on Monday.

"We count the parade for the 2010 participants," military, paramilitary and civilians, said Mbaye at the end of the grand rehearsal held on Fatick's grand avenue as a prelude to the parade on April 4.

Under the supervision of the governor, the mayor of Fatick, Ndèye Guénard Mbodj, the mayor's representative, the military and paramilitary authorities, adjustments and adjustments were made at different levels for a smooth march of the parade on April 4.

During three to four revolutions of the clock, civilians, soldiers and paramilitaries made several passages to the rhythm of the music of the armed forces spread by a musical chain, in order to regulate the automatism of the paratroopers thanks to the advice and observations of the military authorities.

Governor Gorgui Mbaye, saying he was comforted by the success of the rehearsal after the troop review, argued that this exercise "augurs a grand parade on April 4" in the town of Fatick.

"We dare to hope that we are entitled to a very large parade, we have already changed the location of the official booth at the main avenue roundabout to give more visibility to the parade," he said.

"It's a parade that promises to be very beautiful, we prepare for it, it's the meaning of this general rehearsal, it's a training, I do not believe in improvisation, you have to train, review and compete," he commented.

He invited the people of Fatick to participate massively on this planned national holiday on the great avenue of the town of Fatick.

"We are expecting an excellent parade with the participation of our children, security forces, associations and even saltigui, the fortune tellers of the center of Malango will parade," he added.

The theme chosen for April 4 of this year is: "Forces of Defense and Security: an example in education for citizenship and national unity".
