US Treasury yields rise as mid-term elections await


Arab Business Egypt: US Treasury yields boosted 10-year highs in Tuesday's trading session, hitting a four-week high, waiting for midterm elections.

At 20:40 local time, at 10:40 pm Cairo time, Treasury profitability in 10 years rose to 3.22%, the highest since October 10.

Two-year Treasury yields rose to 2.93%, and the government's 30-year debt yield rose to 3.42%.

Voters in the United States began voting today in mid-term elections, which investors are waiting to see who will control Congress in the next two years.

Investors are also eyeing the Federal Reserve's monetary policy decision at its meeting next Thursday with expectations of interest rate stabilization.

Economic data released today showed that the number of job opportunities available in the United States during the month of September fell more than expected by analysts.
