Parliamentary Division of the United Arab Emirates attends the fourth session of the Arab Parliament

The delegation of the Parliamentary Division of the Federal National Council participated in the fourth session of the third session of the second legislative session of the Arab Parliament held today in Cairo, in the presence of Sultan Al-Barqani, President of the Yemen Parliament.

The delegation included members of the National Council of the Arab Parliament Jassem Abdullah Al Naqbi, Member of the Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Committee, Khalid Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi Member of the Committee on Economic and Financial Affairs, Aisha Salem Bin Samnaou Social, Educational, Cultural, Women and Youth Affairs and Mohammad Ahmad Al Yamahi Foreign Policy and National Security.

The delegation's participation in the fourth session of the Arab Parliament focused on discussing the Arab situation and current events in light of the crises experienced by the Arab countries in view of the efforts of the Arab Parliament to support the joint Arab action that concluded its participation in the meetings of the Arab Parliament, held from 17 to 19 June.

Jassim Abdullah Al Naqbi, a member of the Arab Parliament's Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Committee, stressed the importance of Parliament's general session and noted that he discussed all developments in the Arab political, economic and social fields.

Al-Naqbi explained that the Legislative, Juridical and Human Rights Committee presented to Parliament's plenary session their views on how to implement human rights mechanisms in the Arab world and urged national parliaments to sign the Charter of Human Rights in the Arab world.

For his part, HE Khalid Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, a member of the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee of the Arab Parliament, said that the general session of the parliament discussed several issues mentioned by the four standing committees and the Palestinian committee, as well as discussing the recent violations in the Gulf region. The territorial waters of the United Arab Emirates and the severe attacks on oil installations and ports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Aisha Bin Samnaouh, chair of the Committee on Social, Educational, Cultural, Women's and Youth Affairs of the Arab Parliament, said that the session of the Arab Parliament has discussed four draft Arab guiding laws mentioned by the Standing Committees and their subcommittees. A social safety net for the Arab countries, an Arab draft law for higher education and scientific research, as well as a document on the woman to be released from the United Arab Emirates soon.

She noted that the committee also discussed important themes related to the Arab world, including the issue of reading and guiding children to read and guide the project of Mohammed bin Rashid in support of reading and interest in space and innovation and literacy and eradication and Arabic language and support, noting that a complete conception will be prepared on these subjects.

HE Mohamed Ahmed Al-Yamahi, a member of the Committee on Political Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the Arab Parliament, said that the plenary session of parliament revised "the report on the political situation in the Arab world of 2019.
