NATO is running Trident Juncture in Norway from 25 October to 7 November. About 50,000 soldiers from 30 countries are involved. These maneuvers have been the largest in recent years near the Russian borders.
Federal Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that maneuvers are not directed specifically at a country, but indicate that "NATO is ready and able to protect every alliance against all threats".
