Lincoln introduced its smallest crossover

The Lincoln company in the framework of a special event in New York presented its new crossover called Corsair. The model will be the smallest SUV in the line of the brand and will compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Lexus NX, Volvo XC60 and Acura RDX. At the heart of Corsair is the platform of the Ford Escape, however, Lincoln insists that, in fact, the new crossover is a car created from scratch.

Externally, the new Corsair corresponds to the design that Lincoln has demonstrated in older models like Nautilus, Aviator and Navigator. As a result, the compact crossover kept the same elegant lines, details and even a sloping roof, for example, like the Aviator. By the way, the new crossover will also feature Lincoln's latest "trick" with a symphony orchestra. Remember that the brand uses a Detroit orchestra to record musical themes that are used to alert the driver and passengers in different situations. There are six compositions available.

The engine line of the new Corsair is represented by two power units. The basic engine was a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, producing 250 hp, the second option – a slightly more powerful 2.3-liter engine with 280 hp. Both engines are combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Naturally offered to customers and a hybrid modification of the compact crossover. However, there is no information about this version of the template yet.
