Singer Sophia Rotaru, who has not been touring Russia in a long time for political reasons, has found a way to introduce herself to her Russian listeners. Fans will be able to see the 71-year-old Ukrainian artist at the Belarusian music festival "Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk".

Gleb Lapitsky, director of the event, told reporters about this. "… Another highlight is that Sofia Rotaru will participate in the closing of the forum," he said in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

Rotaru does not appear in Russia because of tense relations between Moscow and Kiev. For the same reason, the singer does not visit the Crimea, where, according to media reports, she has a large house built and a registered business. In December 2018, Rotaru refused to participate in the "Song of the Year" contest, which was held in Moscow because of martial law introduced in Ukraine, remembers RT.
