Researchers have discovered a plant in the Congo's forests that promises to be the killer of the cells of one of the most dangerous cancerous diseases – pancreatic cancer.

The statistic states that 95% of people who get sick with this type of cancer do not live even 5 years after the date of diagnosis, despite the various methods of treatment used by doctors. It is all about the cells of this type of cancer, which can not only survive without nutrients, but also reproduce at the same time.

However, the expedition that visited the Congo forest brought a common shrub, Ancistrocladus likoko, from which the scientists created a compound that blocks the signaling pathways of malignant cells to survive.

Researchers are already working on creating a remedy, but when it's ready and how soon it will begin testing, it is not specified.
