Tiles are a serious and painful skin irritation caused by the reactivation of the varicella zoster virus, the same as unleashing the wind.
Adults with a low immune system show the greatest risk of shingles.
Tiles – Symptoms
The most common symptoms of tiles are:
– itching, burns, stinging sensation before a few days of irritation
Fever and chills
– Pain in the whole body
Inflammation of the lymph nodes
– Appearance of reddened irritation with fluid-filled blisters (similar to chicken pox), especially on the chest or face.
It may take a few days or sit for a few weeks until intense irritation occurs. Then they break, a small rash appears, easily – dries easily, forms a crust and heals. It may take two to four weeks for total wound healing, but there are cases where it lasts even longer.
Tiles can appear on any part of the body, but the most common areas are the face (eyes, ears, mouth) and the trunk. Other areas that are often affected are chest and chest.
The irritation is formed as a standardized band or band on the right or left side of the body. There may also be shingles implanted in various parts of the body, but only in people with a compromised immune system.
Shingles – Causes
The shingles are caused by the varicella zoster virus, which activates the wind (varicella). I can not do the tiles only than the people who, at some point in their life, were flooded by the wind.
Very rarely, people who have been vaccinated against the disease can develop herpes zoster.
Initial exposure to the virus occurs in childhood or adolescence, and after the chickenpox episode, the virus remains inactive in the body, in the nervous system, in a nerve located in the spine. In some people, however, the virus reactivates and activates the tiles. Scientists have not yet figured out what causes the virus to be reactivated.
