The presence of the AH1 virus was confirmed in three people in the country, according to the National Center for Control and Control of Communicable Diseases, fortunately, none from Braila. As in the previous weeks, October 22-28, children were most affected by these diseases. As a series of age-related diseases, the situation is as follows: 50 infants (0-1 years), 102 preschoolers (2-4 years), 121 school-age children (5-14 years), 58 adolescents and young people (15 -49), 42 people aged 50-64, plus 50 people over 65. Compared with the first three weeks of October, the number of hospitalized Brăilen in the fourth month decreased significantly due to acute respiratory infections. Only 5 people are in this situation, compared with 15-20 in early October.

With regard to cases of pneumonia, those recorded between October 22 and October 28, 108 in number, are the most significant since the beginning of the cold season of 2018-2019. And with this disease, the children were the most affected. As a series of age-related diseases, the situation is as follows: 25 infants (0-1 year), 29 preschoolers (2-4 years), 23 schoolchildren (5-14 years), 13 adolescents and – 49), 10 people from 50 to 64 years old, as well as 8 other people over 65 years old. Of the total of 108 Braille diagnosed with pneumonia, 44 were hospitalized.

As far as the flu virus is concerned, there has been no case of influenza in Braila County so far. At the national level, there were 3 confirmed cases of influenza AH1 and 4 cases of influenza.

The total number of cases of acute respiratory infections and pneumonia reached 98,136 people nationwide, 9.6% higher than the same week of the previous season, 2017-2018, according to the National Center for Surveillance and Control. of Communicable Diseases.
