On the exterior design, the French said they follow the principle "Evolution and Revolution". Now we understand why they said that.
The Renault Clio makes a dissonant note of the growth trend in dimensions for the launch of new generations, reports Automarket.
Shorter but with larger interior space
The new Clio has a length of 4.048 mm, 14 mm smaller than the previous generation, while the width is 1,798 mm. In addition, height was reduced up to 30 mm, reaching 1440 mm, to provide better aerodynamics.
LED headlamps are available at all equipment levels and have a letter C signature as well as stops, as is the case with all new releases from the French.
For the first time, the new generation of the Clio is available with air deflectors on the springs of the front wheels to improve aerodynamics. The sides also received a series of touch-ups to provide a more modern design.
Clio proposes a completely altered picture. The panel now consists of a 7- or 10-inch TFT display, depending on the equipment level.
The fact is that all versions will have such a panel, the new model abandoning analog clocks. The 10-inch screen versions can also display the map of the navigation system.
The new styling is more stylish and includes a more compact airbag, so visibility has been improved.
Another new feature of the new Clio is the premium audio system Bose which was better integrated. This allowed the boot volume to increase by 26 liters to 391 liters. The French company claims that the Clio now has the most generous stock in the segment.
