Acer launches new TravelMate P6 series


The Acer TravelMate P614-51 features an aluminum and magnesium alloy chassis that is more durable and lighter than standard alloy alloys of the same thickness. With a weight of only 1.1 kg and a thickness of 16.6 mm, the device is easy to carry anywhere. The battery life of up to 20 hours gives professionals the opportunity to work for two days without the need to recharge. This advanced notebook can be charged up to 50% in less than 45 minutes.

The new Windows 10 Pro notebooks are powered by up to 8th generation Intel Core i7 processors, up to 24GB of DDR4 memory, NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics up to 1 TB of 3 x 4 PCIe solid state drives with NVMe technology. The TravelMate P614-51 makes it easy to share and collaborate with a 180-degree design, allowing it to be used in many ways to share the screen with others.

The TravelMate P614-51 14-inch IPS Full HD (1920 x 1080p) screen offers high color accuracy at 170-degree viewing angles. Keyboard and lighting provide a comfortable user experience and allow users to work in low light areas, such as on an airplane or train. A Corning Gorilla Glass NBT responsive touchscreen allows precise gesture control, being more resistant, scratch resistant and easier to clean.

The TravelMate P614-51 is designed to handle impacts, accidental drops and other unpleasant events. It aligns with the MIL-STD 810G2, 810F, a set of US military standards that defines the durability of a wide range of products.

Available with Windows 10 Pro, the TravelMate P614-51 offers security features to protect user data. They can connect using Windows Hello with the fingerprint reader or the infrared Web camera that uses biometric facial recognition. Both methods eliminate the need to store and use a password. When the webcam is not in use, the shutter may be closed for additional security. A Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 chip provides hardware protection for passwords and encryption keys. Pre-installed Acer ProShield includes a set of security and management tools that help protect sensitive data, while Acer Office Management enables IT professionals to implement security policies and monitor resources from a single interface. Available as an option on select models, Intel vPro increases security with extra protection, saving time and money with efficient remote management features.

Users have access to a wireless connection with 4G LTE and 802.11ac 2×2 MU-compatible MIMO eSim. Intel Thunderbolt 3, which provides data transfers up to 40 GB for devices connected to USB Type-C. The Acer TravelMate P6 features a MicroSD card reader and smart card readers as well as NFC4 (Near Field Communication) to share content.

The optional dock extends the desktop through a Type-C USB port and offers USB 3.1 type A and Type C ports, DisplayPort, HDMI, plus support for up to three 4K monitors.

The Acer TravelMate P614-51 will be available in the EMEA in June at prices starting at 1249 euros.
