Gust of up to 87 km / h at Madeira Airport 'pulls' two planes to Porto Santo and Faro


Two flights to Madeira International Airport – Cristiano Ronaldo were at the last minute diverted to Porto Santo and Faro (this one still in travel), due to the strong wind (87 km / h gusting; has devastated the eastern part of the island of Madeira.

The two 'diverted' aircraft are both from easyJet and from the UK. At stake is the U2 1971 flight coming from Manchester, and the U2 flight 8137, which departed from London.

The strong wind forecast is maintained until the early afternoon of tomorrow.
