Trains will not go to Chopin Airport. Renewal will start tomorrow



From 6 to 12 November, lanes on line 440 will be renovated in the Warszawa S³u¿ewiec – Warszawa Lotnisko Chopina section.

In connection with the renovation, this part of the railway line will be closed, which will prevent the Szybka Kolej Miejska Kolejowa S2 and S3 and Koleje Mazowieckie trains from the RL line to arrive at Chopin Airport.

PKP PLK spokesman Karol Jakubowski informs that although the reform should last until November 12, it is difficulties in this line will only last until Friday, November 9. During this period, the trains will end their route at stations Warszawa Zachodnia or Warszawa S³ewiec. November 10 will be back on its route.

The Municipal Transportation Administration assures, however, that at that time, buses 175 will be used more frequently. A detailed description of the changes can be found on the ZTM website.

The renovation is part of the modernization work on the Warszawa Radom railway line, in the section Warsaw Okęcie – Czachówek Po³udniowy. The nomenclator and conversion units will be replaced.
