Xiaomi caught stealing the artist's work commissioned by LG

It's not the first time we've heard anything about a Chinese company stealing someone's work – as Jeremy Clarkson once said, "Copyright infringement does not translate very well into Mandarin." In addition, Xiaomi has been open about following Apple's marketing and design strategy for years.

However, now that the company has passed this stage, it is a bit disappointing to know that Xiaomi took the work of Peter Tarka (a 3D artist) without permission. To make matters worse, the image was commissioned by rival LG.

You can see the two images below and how (almost) they are identical. Some of the ramps have been removed to make room for Xiaomi products, but the resemblance is too large to be coincidental.

The images were used on the official Xiaomi website in Spanish, but have since been removed.

And here are some other elements that Xiaomi used as the chair in the left image and the lamp on the right. The colors have changed, but the design is the same.
