In a series of tweets on Sunday, April 7, Guanzon threatened to open suit against Toralba, who is competing with the Demokratiko Party Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan.
She said Toralba is currently detained for allegedly injuring the election official. Rappler is trying to get to Toralba to comment on the posting time.

She also plans to seek the dismantling of Toralba, whom she said "claims to be a lawyer."

The Comelec employee union (Comelec-UE) also condemned Mariano's alleged slap.
"The Comelec Employee Union strongly condemns this assault on the Mariano EO. We urge Comelec to ensure that the Toralba candidate is held accountable for this brazen act of aggression against an employee who is merely fulfilling his duty to comply with the rules of the campaign in his mandate.
