play: Admitting lack of quality.

The owners of The Walking Dead brand, Skybound Studios, have chosen to terminate the agreement with Starbreeze Studios and at the same time remove the game from the Steam online gaming store.

No launch on console anyway

The Overkill Undead was finally released on Steam last November after several delays and developers planned a consolidation launch in 2019 that will now not be carried out anyway.

In the week that there were rumors that the situation was the way it was, but 505 Games took the sheet out of the mouth and denied everything, with counter-notification that the launch of the console would still occur. Now we know that this was not the case and that they actually encountered internal problems.

Did not meet expectations

In a post, Skybound Entertainment writes that as of today they end the contract with Starbreeze Studios and conclude all activities associated with Overkill's The Walking Dead. As justification for the termination of the contract, it is argued that the game did not meet expectations, at the same time lamented the following:

"We did our best to work with Starbreeze and solve the many problems that came up along the way, but ultimately the game ended up not keeping up with our standards or the quality we were promised. Let's apologize to all the fans and share the disappointment with you. "

Steam Design

Starbreeze Studios wrote in a separate statement that will soon draw the game from the Steam platform, and that this applies to new customers – so those who have already gone to the game can continue playing while the servers run.
