Skoda Citigo iV: range, battery, engine and space

[ad_1]

Skoda has had its challenges in the Norwegian car market in recent years. They did not have electric cars or rechargeable hybrids, but they managed to maintain their sales impressively.

But it does not take much longer, before they also get electrified powertrains in their sample. Skoda has already shown us the all-electric Vision E concept car. It is expected to be Skoda's first electric car, but it will be
still does not.

First, a car we knew well before it comes. Skoda's shortest man, Citigo, has been using gasoline and diesel engines for several years. Now it also comes as an electric car.

No shit …

Thus, the Citigo follows in the tracks of the wheels of the corporate restoration VW up! which also exists in the electric version, so it's called e-up!

Here the four-room car speaks with a 250-liter luggage compartment. The car is 3,597 mm long and 1,645 mm wide. With a folded rear seat, the boot holds a total of 923 liters.

The Citigo iV receives an electric motor that provides 61 kW. A typical acceleration of 60 km / h to 100 km / h is done in 7.6 seconds, while the classic 0 to 100 km / h race takes 12.5 seconds. The top speed is 130 km / h.

The smartest electric car you can buy now

Skoda's smallest Citigo is now electric. Within very compact dimensions, this is a relatively spacious car.

265 km of range

The battery is 36.8 kWh, offering a range of up to 265 kilometers, measured according to the new, more stringent WLTP standard. The battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in one hour with a 40 kW quick charger.

With a 7.2 kW wall-mounted charging box, the charging time becomes 80 percent in just four hours, offering a fully loaded car every morning, charging overnight.

The all-electric Citigo model differs from the incineration edition with a grille that is lacquered in the color of the car and new front bumper. The car comes with fog lights and LED daytime running lights as standard. The interior is also revised for the iV version.

Is Norway more accessible?

"We've been looking forward to this for a long time. Citigo IV is a small, smart and practical urban car that meets the daily needs of many of our customers and Norwegian drivers in general. Here you get a lot of money for the car, and we look forward to it
to reach the electric market, says Thomas Meiner, who is the director of Skoda in Norway.

More specifically on prices we do not yet know, but here is every reason to expect Skoda to follow their traditions and prices aggressively.

Citigo is now one of the cheapest new cars in Norway. The electric version releases VAT and taxes, while there are reasons to expect Skoda to settle under the VW and-up! in price. So there are good opportunities for
Norway's most affordable electric car.

By 2020, by the way, it's clear for two new electric cars from Skoda. Then comes the production model of Vision E, plus another Skoda model so far has been very sparse with information around. But it is not impossible that this is also an SUV.
