IMPORTANT NOTICE for anyone born from 1960 up to and including 6969

Measles is the infectious and most serious disease of childhood diseases. Before the vaccine came into use in 1969, major measles epidemics occurred every three years. Those born in Norway before 1960 are so highly likely to have measles that the MMR vaccine is generally not needed.

As the situation is now, we must take into account that measles may arise in our region. Measles is extremely contagious and can cause serious illnesses with sensory damage in some patients.
The most important measure to prevent disease is vaccination, which provides lifelong protection. Vaccination is important for your own health but also to prevent the spread of the infection to others who, for various reasons, can not take the vaccine.

The vaccine is free!
If you are sure that you have measles, you do not need the vaccine.
