We have already seen several leaks related to the next smartphones in the Galaxy S21 series. Renderings of the Galaxy S21 Ultra were leaked last week, showing an exclusive camera bounce with four sensors. The rear camera housing also leaked. Now, a new report makes claims that have already been made and shows that the next device may have specifications similar to its predecessor.
According to the information provided by trusted leakster Ishan Agarwal, the Galaxy S21 Ultra will feature a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x Infinity-O screen. The device is codenamed O3 internally and carries the model number SM-G998U. It is claimed in the report that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. The phone will ship with Android 11 and One UI 3.0 out of the box.
We had confirmed exclusively that the Galaxy S21 series was due to launch in early January, a month ahead of Samsung’s normal launch date. It will feature a quad camera configuration on the rear, with a primary sensor of 108MP, similar to the Galaxy S20 Ultra. At the front, it could boast a 40 MP selfie camera embedded in the hole-shaped screen cutout.
Previous rumors have pointed out that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will measure 165.1 mm x 75.6 mm x 8.9 mm. The Galaxy S21 series is expected to be equipped with the SoC Snapdragon 875 in the U.S. and China, and the Exynos 2100 processor may end up on Galaxy S21 devices in other markets. It could be launched in just two colors: Black and Silver. It looks like the next smartphone will not be much different from its predecessor.
