The single stars Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth on Friday revealed that they broke the engagement.
In a statement to People, the couple shared the news of the split. "After three incredible years, we decided to go our separate ways. This difficult decision comes after careful and respectful consideration, "they said in a joint statement.
"Even so, we are separating as a couple, we are very committed to remain friends and we will continue to support each other," continued the couple.
They ended their statement asking for privacy, saying, "Due to the nature of how we met, our relationship has always been very public, and we like to share it with all of you, but we urge you to respect our decision and privacy right now. "
Bristowe and Booth were engaged in the 19th season finale of ABC's dating program, which aired in 2015. The news of their split comes after rumors that the couple were having trouble because of their hectic schedules.
