Football players from Scotland and Argentina can probably forget a place in the second round of the World Cup in France. In one of the most entertaining games of the World Cup, the Scots lost a 3-0 lead.
Bonsegundo made it 3-3 in the 94th minute, eliminating the Scottish. With two points, Argentina still have a small chance in the second round and hopes that the matches between Cameroon, New Zealand and Chile-Thailand will not be awarded.
Flashy opening phase
Argentina had only two in three appearances at a World Cup, but that did not stop the South American women from starting furiously. After a good play and a cross from Florencia Bonsegundo, Mariana Laroquette headed with the goal. On the rebound, Sole Jaimes found the goalkeeper Lee Alexander.
A few minutes later, Scotland took a 1-0 lead. Erin Cuthbert pushed well but saw his shot initially turned by Argentine goalkeeper Vanina Correa. However, Cuthbert took the ball back in front of him, placed it in front of Kim Little and he knocked quietly inside.
