In Uganda, a five-year-old boy will receive treatment for Ebola, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Tuesday. It is the first case in this African country since an outbreak in Congo ten months earlier.
The boy came from Congo with his family on June 9 by the Bwera border post. They sought care there, according to WHO on Twitter.
The Ugandan Ministry of Health and the UN organization have sent experts to the western town of Kasese to find other cases of Ebola and to vaccinate those who may have come in contact with the child.
