A man from the village of Ten Boer in Groningen was sentenced to 80 hours in jail for abusing several colleagues during his Christmas drink from his work. His employer, a small company in Nieuw-Roden in Drenthe, held the drink at a cafe on 22 December.
The 21-year-old man got drunk that night and was cursing and screaming. A colleague who talked to him about it had to pay for it with a butt.
Bite on thigh
The man was kicked out of the pub. He bit someone in the thigh. Outside, the rebellious partyman took a bicycle and shot the men who had taken him out of the cafe.
The bike did not hit anyone but fell on a pole, RTV Drenthe writes. The man knows nothing about the party. He was too drunk for it. The judge classified the actions of man as "useless" and "harmful to others."
He has often been in contact with the judiciary for violence and driving drunk. He has to pay 250 euros for the destruction of the bike.
Half of the community service tax is conditional, but the man must follow the advice of the probation service.
