Company behind Fortnite buys manufacturer of Rocket League | NOW

Epic Games, the company behind the shooting game Fortnite, buys the game developer Psyonix, which is best known for the racing football game League of Firecrackers. The acquired company announced this on Wednesday.

According to a press release in the hands of the American news site The Verge the acquisition means that League of Firecrackers becomes available in late 2019 in the Epic game store and thus disappears from the competing Steam store.

Players who League of Firecrackers have purchased through Steam, you can continue to play the game and get support. At any given time, however, the racing football game is no longer available to new players through the game store.

The amount involved in the acquisition was not disclosed. Epic Games and Psyonix are expected to formally complete the acquisition by early June.
