A few days ago, how we could force the dark mode of Chrome on our PC leaked. Now we can do the same on our Android phone. Here we tell you how to do this step by step.
Turning on the dark mode of Chrome in Windows 10
First of all, we have to make sure that Chrome is up to date on the latest version, which is 74. This can be seen in the Play Store or in app settings.
Now, in the browser, we have to type "chrome: // flags" (without quotation marks) in the URL bar.
This allows us to enter a setting where we can activate the dark mode.
What we have to do is type "Dark" to be able to find the option that allows us to activate the dark mode of Google's browser.
Once there, we simply touch where it says "Pattern." This will open a menu where we have to select "Activated" to activate the new dark theme.
Chrome will let us know that it needs to be restarted for the changes to take effect. We allow this to happen and voilà! Your browser will be black.
This modality remains, technically, an unfinished function, so not all pages show this. Likewise, it is possible that certain text or page elements may be displayed incorrectly with dark mode enabled. These small errors are likely to be resolved in the final version, but you can always disable the dark mode on the setup tab if it is very annoying.
