The new model will be manufactured by Qianjiang Motorcycle Co. and will have a 338 cc engine, while most of the motorcycles that the brand sells in the US. They have 601 cc or more engines.

According to the report, this will be the only Harley-Davidson motorcycle that does not occur on its own premises. The Milwaukee-based manufacturer said that despite its small size, it will be a premium product in China and will be on sale at the end of 2020.

Meanwhile, moving the production of some of the smaller bikes to places closer to the markets in which they are sold attracted criticism from union leaders and US President Donald Trump. The company, for its part, said that it intends to continue manufacturing all motorcycles it sells in the United States alone.

In June last year, Harley-Davidson announced that it would continue to produce its motorcycles for sale overseas to third countries. avoid European Union tariffs, which in turn are a response to the customs tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on steel and aluminum from various nations.

The company also said that motorcycles for sale in Europe will be produced at its facilities in Thailand, from which it also plans to export to China and other Asian countries.
