Armed group kills 13 people at a private party south of Veracruz

According to police reports, at 9:00 p.m. on Friday night, armed individuals entered a restaurant where a party was held in the oil municipality of Minatitlan.

The hired assassins entered the palapa of La Potra, located in Colonia Obrera, where – according to witnesses – they were trying to address a subject.

However, those who attended the party tried to prevent the person from being removed from the venue.

In response, the armed group opened fire on the assistants, killing – according to preliminary reports – 13 people.

The fatalities would be five women, seven men and one child; In addition, four injured, three men and one woman were reported.

The Secretary of Public Security, Hugo Gutiérrez Maldonado, reported that a strong agent was deployed to find the attackers.

He also asked the State Attorney General for his assistance in investigating the facts and finding those responsible for the attack.
