Hotlink customers take note. Maxis has announced that it will embark on a two-stage system upgrade exercise and the first phase of the upgrades will take place next Monday, April 22, 2019. During this time, some transactions will be unavailable and unaffected. Hotlink subscribers will be notified by SMS.

The first upgrade exercise will be conducted between 8:30 AM April 22 and 6 AM April 23, 2019. According to Maxis, affected customers will not be able to refill or make purchases. This includes subscription and payment via carrier billing, which includes the Google PlayStore, App Store, Netflix, Spotify, Caller Ring Tone and so on. The Red App will be temporarily unavailable during the upgrade period.

Your normal use of mobile devices such as voice calls, SMS and data on Hotlink will still be available as usual. From the FAQ, it appears that not all customers will be affected at the same time. If you do not receive an SMS notification, you may be notified in the second phase of the update exercise.
