2 Nigerians accused of criminal conspiracy after fraud – Metro

Two Nigerians, Egwuasu Bernard Nnaemeka and Egwuasu Chimiezi Benjamin were charged with criminal conspiracy after Alleged coup of N13 million.

The pair allegedly cheated on a former teacher Neither Faizah Othman, a woman of 48 years of the amount.

According New Times of Straights (NST), the alleged coup occurred between April 21 and June 12, 2017.

The Nigerian duo are reportedly studying students in Malaysia, where they were charged.

NST confirms that the accused "were charged in accordance with Section 120 (B) (1) of the Penal Code, read in conjunction with Section 411 of that Act, which provides for a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment and fine."

During his indictment presided over by Nurunaim Abdullah a court magistrate, Egwuasu Bernard Nnaemeka and Egwuasu Chimiezi Benjamin pleaded not guilty to the charge against them.

The pair allegedly entered Malaysia for their studies in 2016, was denied bail.

They were also scheduled for a hearing on Friday, November 23, 2018.
