High incidence of measles in Israel


The Ministry of Health reported that the incidence of measles has increased since the beginning of this year to 1401 cases. The Ministry pointed to the outbreak of the disease in the neighborhoods where religious Jews live in Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh and Betar Illit, About 60% of these cases were recorded. A girl died of the disease in Jerusalem last week, measles is a serious and infectious viral disease in children, causing some complications that are sometimes severe. Measles is one of the most common childhood diseases, but it can also affect adults. Symptoms include high temperature accompanied by cough, cough and fever, followed by rash on all parts of the body.
