On Wednesday, San Francisco senior vice president Jastin Denison unveiled the smartphone's foldable prototype at Samsung's upcoming press conference, noting that the company will be ready to launch mass production of these screens in the coming months.
Denison did not provide information on when a foldable Samsung smartphone could reach consumers.
"When it's closed, it's a phone that can be put in your pocket," Denison said. "This screen is the backbone of tomorrow's smartphone.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, California-based Royole has announced it will offer the first commercially available foldable smartphone in the world. FlexPai Smartphone available for orders starting at $ 1,381 (1,147 euros).
