KPMG study: Misuse of private data in a cyber incident causes consumers – technology


The continuous evolution of digital transformation surpasses the pace of cybersecurity. In these circumstances, we are witnessing a fundamental gap between what consumers expect and care about and to what extent organizations can meet the demands of consumers. As a security incident, IT managers' priorities do not match consumer preferences, concluded in a recent KPMG study, "Consumer Loss Barometer," involving more than 2,000 consumers and 1,800 information security managers.
