MAX VERSTAPPEN STATEMENTS

VETTEL SEBASTIANO STATEMENTS

20.08 Thanks for joining us, but stay tuned to OA Sport: you'll find news, starting grid, statements, reviews, videos, in-depth reviews and more! A sporting greeting!

20.07 Everything looks uncertain for the win, it seems that Verstappen and Hamilton are favorites, Vettel and Ferrari have reported problems with tire grip. The match will be decisive …

20.06 Leclerc will start from 14th position and with a new engine will bring a thrilling comeback to life: it will be fun!

20.05 Third quarter classification.

20.04 A match in the match dominated by the Verstappen. Red Bull has made a clear difference between Ferrari and Mercedes in the more driven center section, where it has traction and aerodynamics.

20.02 Bottas, Albon, Gasly, Grosjean, Raikkonen and Magnussen complete the top 10.

20.01 Vettel does not improve and remains second at 0.123 from Verstappen. O Hamilton at 0.191. 4th Leclerc at 0.220: Monegasco will start from 14th position due to penalty.

20.00 1'07 "508 for Verstappen, which looks better. The pole is yours.

19.59 Verstappen does not improve in the first sector. Leclerc is faster.

19.59 Last minute … Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes are being launched. Albon is the first of the great to launch.

19.58 Everyone on track for the final stick assault!

19.57 Last 3 minutes.

19.56 The Dutch are therefore clearly favored by pole. Vettel has a duty to try! He must improve and hope that Verstappen does not do the same.

19.55 Verstappen, it must be said, turned a tenth slower than his best time in Q2.

19.54 1'07 "623 for Verstappen, just 0.008 in front of Vettel! 3rd Leclerc at 0.105, 4th Hamilton at 0.238, 5th Bottas at 0.251, 6th Albon at 0.312.

19.53 NOOOOOOO !!! Verstappen is ahead of Vettel by the trifle of 8ths !!! Ferrari has no luck …

19.51 Hamilton's first lap begins, followed by Bottas, Vettel, Leclerc, Verstappen and Albon.

19.50 Here are Ferrari and Mercedes, clearly with soft tires. After Reds is Red Bull.

19.50 On the track Raikkonen, Grosjean and Gasly. Top teams take their place.

7:21 pm Verstappen proved to be flying on this runway. Let's see if Ferrari or Mercedes will pull the rabbit out of the cylinder …

19:30 Q3 STARTED! Last 12 minutes to award pole position victory!

19.44 The complete classification of Q2.

19.43 Leclerc, with a compound of difference (mean versus mole), completed at 0.385 Verstappen. For over half a second, from Dutch Vettel and Hamilton, riding soft tires. The feeling is that it will be very difficult to beat Red Bull today …

7.42 1'07 ″ 503 for Verstappen, big favorite for pole. Leclerc, Vettel, Hamilton, Albon, Bottas, Grosjean, Gasly, Magnussen and Raikkonen follow. They are the 10 qualified drivers for the third quarter.

19.41 Q2 ends, riders are eliminated from eleventh to fifteenth: Norris, Ricciardo, Giovinazzi, Hulkenberg and Perez.

19:40: Giovinazzi shows the yellow flag and no one can improve his return.

19.39 Giovinazzi needs to create a number to avoid cuts. Needs a perfect ride. Leclerc on the track with the soft.

19.38 Remember that Leclerc is the only rider to assemble medium tires in this session, differentiating the strategy from the others. The monegasque will have to complete 10 penalty positions.

19.37 Three minutes at the end of the second quarter.

19.36 Currently eliminated Norris, Ricciardo, Giovinazzi, Perez and Hulkenberg.

19.35 Verstappen in the lead with 0.385 in Leclerc, 0.547 in Vettel, 0.585 in Hamilton. Follow Albon, Bottas, Grosjean, Gasly, Magnussen and Raikkonen. 13 Giovinazzi.

19.34 It is conceivable that Ferrari used the Leclerc horsepower at most, not Vettel's … Let's find out in the third quarter.

19.33 Not a good return for Vettel. It's the third at 0.547 of the Verstappen, but with soft tires! He paid almost 2 tenths of Leclerc with an advantage over his teammate.

19.31 LECLERC TEMPONE WITH MEDIUM TIRE! It's second with 385 thousandths of Verstappen, but with a mix of difference! 1 & 07; 503 for Dutch.

19.30 1 ″ 08 ″ 088 for Hamilton, 0.144 advantage over Bottas. Vettel is on track with the gentle.

19.29 Rather average tires for Leclerc.

19.28 The first driver out of the pits is Hamilton, followed by teammate Bottas. Soft tires for Mercedes.

19.27 There is no polite on the track yet.

19.25 START Q2! 15 minutes and five other drivers to be eliminated.

19.24 Ferrari, in fact, pays a lot, maybe a lot of Red Bull in the central sector, around 3-4 tenths. A very difficult gap to fill in the first and third parts. The SF90's fatigue in slow curves, so it will be necessary to work day and night during the winter.

19.23 On paper, top teams should opt for mid-quarter tires, which will be used for regulation even at the start of the race.

19.22 The complete classification of Q1. Verstappen is scary.

19.20 Verstappen dominated the first quarter at 1 ″ 08 ″ 242, trimming 254ths for Leclerc, 261 for Albon, 303 for Bottas, 314 for Vettel, 372 for Hamilton. Magnussen, Norris, Gasly and Hulkenberg complete the top 10. 12th Giovinazzi.

19.19 These riders were eliminated from 16th to 20th position: Kvyat, Stroll, Russell, Kubica and Sainz.

19.18 Leclerc improves and rises to second position.

19.17 The Ferraris are back on track.

19.16 Nothing to do with Sainz, he cannot enter the track and will start from last position with McLaren.

7:15 pm Giovinazzi is still 13 years old, but he can't be quiet.

19.14 3 minutes left, at the moment Verstappen is making a difference in everything. Are Ferrari and Mercedes hiding and will the engine accelerate only from the second quarter?

19.13 Six laps already covered by Leclerc with this soft tire train, always averaging 1 ″ 08 ″ 3. A good step.

19.12 Currently eliminated Hulkenberg, Stroll, Russell, Kubica and Sainz.

19.11 Giovinazzi is 13th in a second. Spaniard Carlos Sainz is still timeless in the pits due to a technical problem with McLaren.

19.10 Leclerc improves, but not enough to get closer to the Red Bulls. The monegasque is the third to 0.268 of Verstappen. Bottas sixth at 0.487.

19.09 The impressive Verstappen Tempta trims 261 thousandths in Albon and 3 tenths of a Ferrari. Hamilton is only fifth with 0.372.

19.08 Albon leads with 53 thousandths over Vettel. This is not good news for Ferrari. The red ones pay a lot in the central sector, the most influenced.

19.07 1 ″ 55 ″ 556 for Vettel, precedes Leclerc by just 36 thousandths.

19.06 The round launched by Vettel begins.

19.05 Also on the track are the Ferrels of Vettel and Leclerc.

19.05 Great Giovinazzi, he leads at 1 ″ 09 ″ 324, 39 thousandths better than Raikkonen.

19.04 1 ″ 10 ″ 688 for Russell, very high season for Williams, for a while the F1 "cinderella".

19.03 The tour launched by Russell begins.

19.02 Tempororeggiano Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull. Beware, the sky is cloudy, even if the rain does not fall.

19.01 Kubica returns to the pits immediately and does not complete the lap. Teammate Russell enters the track.

19.01 As always, Williams is the first to enter the track with Kubica.

19.00 18 minutes the duration of Q1, 5 drivers to be eliminated.

19.00 START THE BRAZIL 2019 GP QUALIFICATIONS IN INTERLAGOS!

18.58 The myth of Ayrton Senna continues to live in Brazil.

18.56 Ferrari will have to focus on Vettel to make the pole position heist. Remember that Leclerc will be penalized for 10 positions for mounting the fourth force unit this season (three regulations are granted by regulation).

18.55 Current conditions at Interlagos. 21 degrees in the air, 38.5 on the asphalt. Let's see how the track will evolve as you get tired

18.54 A lap with Vettel on the Interlagos track, very close

18.52 At Alfa Romeo, the tires are ready, we'll see what the strategy will be like in Q2, with riders already thinking about the race.

18.50 10 minutes at the start of qualifying! There are many clouds around the circuit, but they should not bring rain. The sun is still the master.

18.48 Behind the top teams are Daniil Kvyat, seventh at Toro Rosso, and Antonio Giovinazzi, eighth at Alfa Romeo. So the two McLarens

18.46 Remember that Leclerc will incur a 10-position penalty on the grid. In fact, in SF90 only the endothermic motor (ICE) in the PU is replaced

18.44 Disappointing instead Bottas's sixth place to 881 thousandths, behind Albon as well. The Finn does not seem to repeat the Austin weekend. Let's see if it can turn into a qualifier.

18.42 Seb Vettel finished fourth with 344 thousandths, proving to be close to his partner but far from the top two in class

18.40 20 minutes at the beginning! The tension begins to rise in Interlagos! Qualifications will be dominated by balance and traffic, which can make a difference.

18.38 In the final stages of the FP3, the Monegasque also risked contact with Sainz. Misunderstanding on Juncao's curve, but that's fine.

18.36 He came third with 291 thousandths of Charles Leclerc. La Rossa excels at T1 and T3, but in the more driven sector pays tax compared to rivals

18.34 Big second faster for Max Verstappen, just 26ths from Hamilton. Red Bull flies on T2 while suffering on T3 with the stands rising and rising

18.32 At FP3, Hamilton's great performance ended at 1: 08.320. The Englishman showed that he has excellent speed, not forgetting yesterday's excellent racing pace simulations

6.30 pm Half an hour at the start of qualifying will be a big battle !!

17.00 CHESS FLAG! Hamilton complains of a radio power loss and returns to the pits.

16.59 Traffic problems on Leclerc track, very close to contact with a McLaren being launched.

16.58 To be Bottas's bad sixth place with almost 9 tenths of his teammate Hamilton. The Finn failed to complete a significant time attack with the second set of soft tires.

16.56 Ferrari has now engaged in a soft tire racing pace simulation. Good feedback, especially to Vettel.

16.54 Great performance for Giovinazzi !! Eighth turn to 1,142 of the head with a recovering Alfa Romeo.

16.52 Verstappen jumps to second place, just 26ths from Hamilton! A very tight qualification awaits us … Albon in fifth, 8 tenths of the top with the second Red Bull.

16.50 Ferrari turned this session around with the mapping of engine 3, while qualifying will use "engine 1" mode to unleash even more power in the third quarter.

16.49 Here are the absolute best performers in the various industries:

16.47 Soon, Red Bull's second attack on Verstappen, which will attempt to regain the lead of these FP3s.

4:45 pm Nothing to do with the two Ferrari drivers on the second try with the same set of soft tires.

16.44 Bottas makes a mistake in Senna's S and slows down, Hamilton flies and prints a creepy 1 ″ 08 ″ 320 without tracks.

16.42 Soon the second attack attempt by Mercedes, while Vettel makes two cold turns and then relaunches.

16.40 Here's the answer from Ferrari !!! One by two with Leclerc ahead of Vettel of 53 thousandths at 1'08 ″ 611, while Verstappen improved a few thousandths by paying almost half a second from the top.

16.38 As regards the midfield fight, Toro Rosso started strong today with Gasly in seventh place ahead of Renault de Hulkenberg and McLaren de Norris.

16.36 High expectation at this time for the last qualifying simulation of the round, in which Ferrari is called upon to respond to Verstappen's performance to approach qualifying practice with confidence.

16.33 After the first race on Saturday, Verstappen is a candidate not only for the final victory but also for pole position, hoping to understand how much Mercedes and Ferrari will improve in qualifying with the most aggressive engine mapping.

16.29 Verstappen awesome !! 1 ″ 09 ″ 063 and almost 4 tenths trimmed to the first of the pursuers! Albon is sixth at 7 tenth behind his teammate …

16.27 Well, Hamilton is better placed second in front of Ferraris and 127 thousandths of leader Verstappen.

16.25 Here is Max Verstappen! Best time at 1'09 ″ 327 for the Dutchman with an overflowing Red Bull in the central sector.

16.24 Bottas does not improve on the second attempt and remains fourth with 201 thousandth teammate. Now we are waiting for the Verstappen time attack.

16.22 Leclerc uses the track of a Toro Rosso in T3 and moves to second place at 37 thousandths of Hamilton. Vettel improves on T1 but finds traffic and decides to return to the pits.

16.20 Vettel fares better than the Monegasque by two tenths and goes on with 1 ″ 09 ″ 666, but then comes Hamilton, who puts them all on 09.09.

16.19 Leclerc starts setting the pace at 1 ″ 09 ″ 871 with soft tires!

16.18 Turn on the turn! Renault leads with Hulkenberg ahead of Ricciardo, while Vettel stops at turn 1 and gets up for another attempt.

16.16 Haas moves with Grosjean and Magnussen taking the track with soft tires and soon after Vettel leaves the track with Ferrari!

16.14 The track is still cold and slippery, so let's see who will be the first top team to make the time attack attempt.

16.12 Here comes the first significant time trial of this session, with Carlos Sainz taking over McLaren's lead at 1 ″ 11 ″ 058.

16.10 Kubica is the first to set a time set at 1 ″ 13 ″ 998 with a Williams designed to once again occupy the last row of the grid.

16.08 Ferrari is waiting for more tires on the track to start the work program. Vettel and Leclerc must do two soft tire races to simulate qualifying.

16.06 Here is an image of the top of the Interlagos circuit on these FP3s.

16.04 Until Verstappen on the track for a hard tire installation lap on his Red Bull.

16.02 Norris, Albon, Grosjean and Magnussen are the first to follow the track to test Interlagos track conditions.

16.01 GREEN TRAFFIC LIGHT !! Start the last free practice session in Brazil!

15.59 For Charles Leclerc, this is a very important day, given the ten penalty positions to be met on the grid due to the use of the fourth seasonal endothermic motor. Monegasque della Rossa will have to do his best in qualifying and then attack in the race for a furious comeback.

15.56 Compared to yesterday, temperatures are slightly higher, despite the cloudy sky (19 ° C in the air, 30 ° C asphalt), so there may be a bit of tire degradation, especially in the long run with heavy loads. fuel.

15.52 Fortunately, the weather has been pleasant for Interlagos (only a few raindrops have fallen) in the last few hours, so riders can struggle in dry conditions.

15.49 This is the classification of the two-stage World Championship riders from the end of the 2019 season:

15.41 We will see if this superiority of the engine will be sufficient, at least, in qualifying to get the best performance from Mercedes and Red Bull, who will try to assert a higher speed on the busiest stretch of Interlagos to compensate for the maximum speed deficit on the straight.

15.37 So far, Maranello's team has responded to the controversy provoked by Verstappen's statements, once again confirming the superiority of Ferrari's engine in terms of pure power compared to its competitors Mercedes and Honda.

15.33 In Friday's free practice, in which only the second session took place in the dry, Ferrari put both of them with Vettel and Leclerc in front of everyone, even in very narrow and insignificant spaces.

15.29 Announced very intense 60 minutes, in which we will understand the Interlagos values in the dry lap before yesterday's qualifications, better than yesterday. Major teams must run some gasoline runoffs to test the weather attack.

15.25 Good afternoon and welcome to the third free practice session of the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix, the penultimate act of the season for the Formula 1 World Championship.

It's all for this LIVE LIVE! Greetings from the editorial team of OA Sport.

8:30 pm: Hamilton, however, showed great things at the pace of the race as usual. Mercedes, in fact, seems to have something more in compound management. However, the reds are there.

20.29: Thus, a great form Ferrari is confirmed on this track in the qualifying simulation with Vettel and Leclerc in front. However, a great balance in the top 5 with a difference of two tenths between the first and fifth.

20.27: Sessione di fatto terminata, as seen from the Russian avenue of Toro Rosso.

20.25: PINK FLAG !!!

20.22: Hamilton speed with benzine on board: 1'12 ″ 9 per British British Mercedes.

20.20: Bottom with gomme (hard) change, Hamilton with medium gomme, Leclerc continues with gomme the gialla band, this discord discord per Vettel (soft).

20.18: Situation decisively equilibrium, detecting a straight track with 12 bends and cut off the edge. Ferrari, all alone, big deal and speed.

20.14: 1'13 ″ 1 and 1'13 ″ 2 per Rosse che rispondono ad Hamilton. From the sottolineare the chrono of Leclerc, single track with the media.

20.12: 1'13 ″ 5 per due Ferrari Leclerc and di Vettel, but Hamilton follows 1'13 ″ 0 and as the lone Mercedes with benzine aboard the strong mole.

20.10: 1'13 ″ 5, 1'13 ″ 6 per Leclerc who is spinning with the medium, Vettel will spin with the soft. Well, I started communication with Charles.

20.08: I had trouble with Toro Rosso di Gasly's motive, I hurt you right now. Virtual Safety Car!

20.06: 1'13 ″ 2 and 1'13 ″ 4 per Bottas ed Hamilton with gomme soft.

19.42: Verstappen continua a girare in solitaria, accumulando dati sulle gomme medie.

19.30: ATTENZIONE! Piove a Interlagos.

Sebastian Vettel è quarto a 0″337.

19.15: Subito in pista Verstappen e Bottas.

19.13: BANDIERA VERDE!!!

18.43: Power Unit, dunque, particolarmente sollecitate.

Staremo a vedere.

Buon divertimento! (Foto: LaPresse)
