Time travel is one of the most complex aspects Avengers: End of the Gameand also one of those who are making the fans talk more. At the end of the movie, Steve Rogers decides to return to the fifties and live his life with Peggy Carter, a fact on which we expressed a series of considerations only a few hours ago.

Now, however, the director Joe Russo confirms at Entertainment Weekly that by choosing to stay in the past, Cap has created an alternate timeline, returning to the main timeline to deliver Captain America's shield to Sam Wilson:

But Cap has lived in the past all this time – or created a parallel dimension?

The directors say the answer is the second.

"Back in time and living there, Captain America created a parallel reality. The question then is: how did you come back to that reality to donate your shield?" Explains Joe Russo.

The brothers smile.

"This movie has so many levels, we spent three years thinking about it, so it's fun to talk about it and – who knows – fill in those spaces to make people understand what it is. we were thinking ".

In short, the impression is that the Russians have deliberately put the movie as a starting point for a spin-off of some sort. In fact, the Russians confirm that Bucky, greeting Cap, knew he would not see him again five seconds later:

"Especially when he greets him, he says to him," I'm going to miss you. "He clearly knows something," continued Joe Russo. But how? Has the Winter Soldier ever met the Old Cap at some point in the past? The answer seems to be yes.

Instead, "Sam does not know anything." Falcon has no idea there is an Old Cap, so Bucky tells him to go talk to Steve Rogers. Bucky already knows the answer to the questions Sam will ask.

That all this may have to do with The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, the Marvel Studios series being developed for the Disney + streaming platform? The impression is that the answer is yes …
