SOFIA, Bulgaria (AP) – Leaders of the four Balkan nations met to discuss regional security, economic development and energy and transport links.
The Bulgarian Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Greece and Romania, Prime Minister of Serbia, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attended the Forum in Black Sea Varna in Bulgaria.
Bulgarian Prime Minister Borisov said that the purpose of the meeting is to improve the energy, infrastructure and digital connectivity of the region. He says, "Our policy focuses on EU values: relationship, higher incomes and competitiveness".
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras announced plans for the railway linking Bulgaria's Bourgas harbor in the Black Sea, the Greek island of Alexandroupolis and the Alexandroupoli-Bulgarian motorway.
