Two men arrested in Athy on Friday by police officers investigating the David Boland murder were released without charge this afternoon.
A file should be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecution while the investigation continues.
The two men were arrested after the 34-year-old boy was killed in an incident on Duke Street, Athy, Co Kildare, early Thursday morning, Nov. 1.
The two, both in their twenties, were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at the Kildare and Newbridge Garda Stations.
Four people have been arrested so far as part of the ongoing investigation. A 20-year-old man is in court, accused in connection with the case.
