Passengers fled miraculously from a head-on collision between a school bus and a car in West Cork.
The accident, which occurred around 8:30 am, took place on the R591 Toormore-Durrus road in the Mizen Peninsula.
A bus, carrying school children for classes at local schools, was colliding with a car in the town of Argideen.
The accident resulted in the entire road being blocked.
Gardaí and emergency services were in place within minutes.
There were no reports of injuries. However, both drivers are seen as having been treated locally because of the crash.
Gardaí asked the drivers to avoid the area until the work of the emergency services is completed.
Investigators at the Garda accident scene are currently examining the road to determine the precise cause of the accident.
The road is the main access point for people living in Goleen, Toormore, Blairs Cove and Durrus to Bantry and Crookhaven.
