Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has condoned the death of legendary Odia singer Chitta Jena.
Patnaik described the late Chitta Jena as a great singer and his melodious and eternal songs will immortalize him forever. The chief minister also conveyed his deep sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for the soul to rest in peace.
The veteran singer breathed his last morning today at a private hospital in the city here while under treatment.
Born in 1941, his debut album was in the year 1974 for the movie "Mana Akasha". Jena also lent her golden voice to a number of popular songs, such as "Mo Priya Tharu Kiye Adhika Sundara", "Na Ja Re Na Ja Gori", "Bali Jatara Dekhi", & # 39 ;, # 39; Rupa Heithiba Labanyabati, & # 39; Udi Gale Gendalia & # 39; e Parabata Kunchi Kunchi Ka & # 39 ;, Topae Luha & # 39; and Ki Sundara Aaha Ki Aananda Maya.
