Forget Samsung Galaxy S10 and Note 10: This is the smartphone you should buy [Updated]

Samsung's Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 are solid, if noteworthy updatesand there are some Great Black Friday Deals Available on them. But anyone looking for a high end Samsung smartphone really needs to expect this. & Nbsp;

Samsung Galaxy S11: Everything We Know So Far

Forbes Gordon Kelly

Thanks to new information from acclaimed Samsung experts Evan Blass (@evleaks) and Ice Universe, we now know that the Galaxy S11 will dramatically change size and showcase a new design compared to its predecessor. And that is just the beginning. & Nbsp;

Update: 11/17 – The advantages of the Galaxy S11 continue to grow. In addition to the Blass and Ice Universe leaks below, XDA Developers has found more evidence of the Galaxy S11's photocentric upgrades than its predecessors. A breakdown of the Samsung Camera app APK found the hidden code for Director's View (filming with multiple cameras simultaneously), Night Hyperlapse (apparently a Pixel 4 Astrophotography Rival) and Single Shot (a burst mode designed to capture a single scene by combining dozens of photos). And the cherry on top? Evidence of a future-proof 8K to 30fps video recording mode – something the 108MP Galaxy S11 camera could easily handle.

Blass explain Samsung is increasing the reach of the Galaxy S11 with three new screen sizes: the 6.4 inch Galaxy S11, the 6.7 inch Galaxy S11 + and the 6.9 inch Galaxy S11 5G. This compares to 6.1 inch (S10), 6.4 inch (S10 +) and 6.7 inch (S10 5G) screen sizes. Yes, Samsung's S11 standard will have a screen as large as this year's S10 +, although it warns Samsung can still opt for a more conservative 6.2 inch panel. & nbsp;

Blass also says Samsung will offer 5G versions of all models, so presumably the Galaxy S11 5G will need a new name ("Max" seems to be popular). He adds that Samsung will only use curved edge screens next year, with the flat panel used in the Galaxy S10 Lite not being repeated. Personally, I prefer flat screens (no interface distortion, more durable), but it's just me. & Nbsp;

As for arrival times, Blass says Samsung may launch the Galaxy S11 as early as mid-February, but it will certainly be before the end of the month. & Nbsp;

Are you worried about the new screen sizes? Do not stay. A new design created by Ice universe "Based on leaked information" shows that the panels of the Galaxy S11 will be even thinner, so the change in phone size is likely to be minimal. He too States that the drill camera will move to the center of the screen, like the Galaxy Note 10, and will be smaller. This last point may disappoint that some Samsung have received a large tip to put the Galaxy S11 camera under the screen. & nbsp;

That said, that may be the only disappointment of the Galaxy S11 considering what we know most about the phone. Changing the title is a potentially innovative camera codename & # 39; Hubble & # 39; due to its extreme zoom capabilities. There is also a major performance upgrade, last generation memory, an oversized fingerprint sensor and a real competitor: much bigger batteries. Samsung is also working on revolutionary new battery technology that may or may not enter. & nbsp;

So my suggestion: Unless you get a huge discount on Black Friday (the bigger one will be from Costco and from Target – bookmark them), wait for the Galaxy S11. This will make them look old, fast. & Nbsp;
