Janhvi Kapoor met with actor Marathi Rinku Rajguru and shared an image on his Instagram late Sunday. Janhvi made her Bollywood debut with the Hindi remake of Rinku's hit song Sairat. Titled Dhadak, the Hindi film was produced by Karan Johar and featured Ishaan Khatter alongside Janhvi.
Sharing the image, Janhvi subtitled it with a heart emoji. Janhvi was spotted wearing a colorful T-shirt and jeans, while Rinku wore an elegant black salwar suit.
Prior to the release of her debut film, Janhvi had revealed that she had first seen the original with her mother, actor Sridevi. “I saw Sairat with my mother at home. I remember watching and telling mom that I wish this was my first movie, I wish I could do something like that. Mom and I had a big discussion about how she wanted a role like this for me, ”she told Deccan Chronicle.
“My character is different from the original character played by Rinku. What Rinku did in Sairat, no one can do that. I tried my best to be honest about my craft, ”he added.

Janhvi recently completed work on his film alongside Rajkummar Rao, Roohi Afza. She is currently working on Dharma Productions' biography of fighter pilot Gunjan Saxena, who played a key role in the Kargil War in 1999. She will also be seen in Kartik Aaryan's Dostana 2, as well as Takht, the multi-protagonist of Karan Johar
Janhvi's father and filmmaker Boney Kapoor also announced a movie with her, Bombay Girl. “I am certainly very excited about the movie. Janhvi will do something completely different from what she's doing in every other movie. I feel that whenever a parent works with their children, it is an emotional experience and the same goes for me. I was equally impressed when I joined Arjun [Kapoor; son] for the first time, ”he told the Hindustan Times.
