In the morning of Tuesday at 5 o'clock, the mermaid's shipwreck begins to be detached from the Danube, said Nándor Jasenszky, head of the Department of Social Relations of Terrorism (TEK) at M1 on Sunday night.
The operation can take from 5 to 6 hours, since the shipwreck must be relieved and the water must be pumped continuously.
Jasenszky explained in detail in the afternoon that it would not be easy to raise the shipwreck. There are four lifting belts under the boat and during the day the crane was also in position.
The Mermaid cruise ship sailed the evening of May 29, near the Margaret Bridge, after colliding with the ship-hotel Viking Sigyn. There were 35 on board, 33 South Korean citizens and two Hungarian officials. Seven passengers were rescued, eight were still looking for: seven South Korean passengers and the Hungarian captain of the cruise ship.
