Timelapse of Google Earth has the evidence
It took six years to bring Google the Timelapse section of Google Earth on smartphones. According to Techgear.gr, Timelapse's mobile update support has been added, Redesigned for Material Design, and two years of additional information added to the timelapse videos that show us how the planet has changed from 1984 to 2018.
Google says in its official blog that it was not feasible to take Timelapse to mobile devices because mobile browsers did not allow automatic playback of videos, something of great importance for Timelapse to work. This issue has been resolved by enabling autoplay in Chrome and Firefox (no audio).
