Singers Miley Sirius and Neil Yang are among the hundreds of people who saw their properties as ash for the deadly fires that destroyed part of the Malibu resort where the flames continue to burn uncontrollably for the fourth day.
Sirius wrote on Twitter that she is "absolutely crushed by the fire that swept through my community."
"I'm among the lucky ones," she added.
"My pets and the love of my life have been sincere and that's what matters now. My house is no longer there, but the memories I share with my family and friends remain unchanged."
Miley Saira is engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth.
Lady Gaga and members of the Cardansian family said they had to leave their homes because of the Woolsey fire, which destroyed more than 370 buildings and was controlled by only 20%.
For his part, Neil Yang wrote in his blog that California "faces something bigger than what we have already seen."
"Firefighters have not seen anything like it in their lives," he wrote.
"I've heard it repeated over and over again in the last couple of days, and I lost my home from a California fire and in the past, now I've got another home."
Real Housewives star Camille Grammer also reported with Instagram that he lost his home while actor Gerard Butler took Twitter to a photo where he appears in front of his house on fire.
"Burning moments in California," he wrote.
