Christian Seifert will leave the German Football League the following summer. DFL confirmed this on Monday morning. Seifert is looking for a new challenge.
Christian Seifert is stepping down as head of the German Football League (DFL). The managing director and spokesperson for Fortaleza will not extend his contract, which will expire at the end of June 2022. Seifert has been with DFL since 2005 and is considered the most powerful man in German football.
“In two years, I want to open a new professional chapter,” said the 51-year-old director: “Until then, it is clear that I will continue to focus on current and future challenges in my DFL positions with the greatest ambition and total commitment.”
