Customers of Thomas Cook organizers in Germany cannot continue their planned travels next year, as the company announced. "For reasons of insolvency law," travel could not occur, even if it was paid in part or in full. Instead, the cessation of operating business should be prepared for December 1.

In addition to Thomas Cook, Neckermann Reisen, Öger Tours, Bucher Reisen and Air Marin, as well as the Swiss company Thomas Cook International were also affected. Although there are concrete offers from investors for Bucher Reisen and Öger Tours, the trips could not be made. Customers affected with a security certificate can file their claims with the Kaera service provider, commissioned by insurer Zurich.

Earlier, German Thomas Cook had already canceled all trips by the end of the year. She filed for bankruptcy on September 25 following the bankruptcy of the British parent. 140,000 customers were on vacation at the moment. The company is insured with 110 million euros.
