An Odoxa poll for RTL and Groupama gives Kylian Mbappé and Christophe Galtier UNFP's greatest trophies as the Ligue 1 player and coach of the season.
They were logically favorites for the announcement of nominees, a survey confirms this. Kylian Mbappé and Christophe Galtier topped a poll conducted by Odoxa for RTL and Groupama on UNFP trophies that will award French football players on Sunday.
This survey, conducted with a sample of 1,000 people representative of the French population, including 427 fans, gives a unanimous victory to Kylian Mbappé in the category of best player of the season. French comes first, with 60% of all votes, ahead of Nicolas Pépé (Lille, 14%), Neymar (PSG, 11%), Ángel Di María (PSG 5%) and Hatem Ben Arfa (Rennes 5%). Results that show the size taken by the striker of Paris this season, the Ligue 1 top scorer and the first French player since Jean-Pierre Papin to reach the barrier of 30 goals in the French Championship.
In the category of best coach of the season, if the difference is not so dazzling, Christophe Galtier also comes to the top of the list with a comfortable advantage. Lille coach, brilliant second in the league, behind Paris-SG, receives 38% of the votes. This is more than twice his first pursuer Bruno Genesio (OL, 18%). Next are Thomas Tuchel (PSG, 16%), Thierry Laurey (Strasbourg, 11%) and David Guion (Reims, 10%).
