CAF signs four-year contract with VISA for AFCON – Football

Visa signed a major contract with the African Football Confederation (CAF) as the sponsor of Total 2019 and the 2021 Total Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The African Football Confederation (CAF) announced the massive sponsorship deal during a press briefing at the Kempinski Hotel, Accra, on Monday.

CAF's four-year agreement with the big American company will offer them the opportunity to expand their global brand and technology on the African continent.

The sponsorship agreement will make the payment giant the exclusive payment service provider in all locations during the Total AFCON tournaments in 2019 and 2021 and will be the preferred payment option for tickets purchased both personally and online.

In addition, Visa will be the official partner of the escort program, giving more than 1,100 children the opportunity to lead their football heroes in Total AFCON matches.

Visa has been in the midst of events sponsoring tournaments over the years – they have been involved in FIFA tournaments since 2007 and played a key role in the 2018 FIFA World Cup ™ staged in Russia.
