Boxing News: Kubrat Pulev refuses to apologize for kissing Jennifer Ravalo

Heavyweight boxer Kubrat Pulev declined to apologize for kissing a reporter after an interview after the fight.

The Bulgarian grabbed and kissed reporter Jennifer Ravalo of the Vegas Sports Daily at the end of an interview following the seventh-round knockout victory over Bogdan Dinu on Saturday.

Ravalo said the incident was "embarrassing" and "strange," but in a social media post on Tuesday, Pulev claims the two are friends and joked about kissing.

He said, "You may have seen a clip of me kissing a reporter after an interview after I won my fight on Saturday night.

"The reporter, Jenny, is actually a friend of mine and, after the interview, I was so happy, I gave her a kiss.

"Later that night, she joined me and my other friends at my post-fight party.

"In the video, after our kiss, we laughed and thanked each other.

"There's really nothing more about it."

The incident came after he was asked by Ravalo whether he could face former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in the future.

Pulev responded with a "yes," before kissing Ravalo by force and leaving, with fans strongly criticizing the 37-year-old for his actions on social networks.

Pulev's victory over Dinu took his record to 27-1 with his only defeat coming against Wladimir Klitschko in November 2014.
